What is the Certified Management Accountant Program?

The Certified Management Accountant (CMA) is a globally recognized
certificate that supports management accounting and finance professionals
who drive business performance inside organizations. The CMA program is
an advanced-level curriculum requiring candidates to demonstrate
knowledge of accounting, finance and related fields. The CMA program is
composed of two parts:

 

Financial Planning, Performance and Control
• Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
• Performance Management
• Cost Management
• Internal Controls
• Professional Ethics
Financial Decision Making
• Financial Statement Analysis
• Corporate Finance
• Decision Analysis and Risk Management
• Investment Decisions
• Professional Ethics

• Possess advanced financial and strategic management competencies
• Lead, manage and make decisions in management accounting and
financial management

• Evaluate performance and make decisions about the strategic direction

• Earn approximately 22 percent more than a non-certified professional

What is the CMA examination?


The CMA exam is designed to develop and measure critical thinking and decisionmaking
skills. All exams are computer-based with multiple choice and essay
questions.

Four hours – 100 multiple-choice and two essay questions
Financial Decision Making
Four hours – 100 multiple-choice and two essay questions


What are the requirements for enrolling in the CMA program?


• Passing an English exam *
• Copy of the graduation certificate
• Two passport photos
• Copy of the student ID
* AUC alumni, students and graduates of English sections are not required to pass
an English exam.


Where and when is the CMA exam given?


All examinations are offered by Prometric, a worldwide network of testing centers.
The exam is offered according to the following schedule:
• January and February
• May and June
• September and October
The scores will be mailed approximately six weeks after the end of the month
during which the applicant took the test.

 

How much will it cost to apply for the CMA program at AUC?


• Part One: LE 5,150
• Part Two: LE 5,650
• Registration fees: LE 150 for each part
• Fees include a CD and books.
