Computer Graphic Design for Print Production Program

This program focuses on the creative aspects of designing and producing print and graphic materials for use by corporate, publishing and advertising agencies. In this program, learners will learn the concepts of digital graphic design and color theories. It provides learners with the principles, material and skills necessary to bring a design problem to a logical solution. Learners will create digital graphic designs for print. They will also utilize Adobe Photoshop to perform various image processing operations and apply different color correction techniques. In addition, learners will create and manipulate different Adobe InDesign documents and use color separation techniques and devices.

This program is designed for individuals who are interested in the field of computer graphics and print. It is intended for those who would like to use the computer in creating and manipulating digital designs in the fields of print production, advertising, product presentation, desktop publishing, pre-press and color separation. It is also for applied arts, fine arts and art education graduates.

Admission Requirements

  • Applicants must pass the Standardize English Proficiency Test (SEPT) with a minimum level of 213 (ENGG213).
  • All courses require the use of Windows-based computers and applications software in SCE labs and for home assignments, presentations and projects.
